Get Your Diploma!

Evergreen Park Public Library, in partnership with our regional library system (RAILS), offers adults the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and a career training certificate online through the Career Online High School (COHS) program..

We are providing a limited number of free scholarships to qualified adult learners who are looking to advance their careers, prepare for workforce entry, or continue their education.

How it Works

  • Transfer high school credits you've already earned or start from scratch.
  • Take classes online.  You'll have access to the course materials 24/7.
  • Earn an accredited high school diploma, not a GED, in 18 months or less
  • Receive support from academic coaches and certified instructors to help you along the way.

Getting Started

  • You must be an Evergreen Park resident.
  • You must be 21 years or older.
  • You must commit to 10 hours per week to study and complete coursework.
  • You must not have previously earned a High School Diploma or GED.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, show your interest by taking the readiness survey.

Next Steps

After completing the readiness survey, we’ll email you a link so you can take the prerequisite course.  Once the prerequisite course is successfully completed, you may be contacted for an in-person interview at the Library.  The Library will award the scholarships to the best candidates.
