The Evergreen Park Public Library Foundation was established in April 2003 and operates in conjunction with the Library Community Foundation. The purpose of the Evergreen Park Public Library Foundation is to seek private sector support for maintaining high quality materials, services, and programs offered by the Evergreen Park Public Library. The Evergreen Park Public Library Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization governed by a board of directors comprised of volunteers dedicated to helping the community through the improvement of the library.

The Foundation solicits, receives and administers gifts for the Library's benefit. Gifts are used to fund projects, enhancements, and improvements to the library collection and services. A charitable gift to the Evergreen Park Public Library Foundation ensures that the Evergreen Park Public Library can continue to meet the growing needs of the community in spite of diminishing state and federal funds and the increasing costs of materials and supplies.

Private contributions from generous individuals, families, businesses, foundations, and organizations throughout the community help create funding. The charitable gifts are used to fund projects the Library could not otherwise afford through its annual operating budget. Donations are tax-deductible as provided in Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
